With the FISCHER POROSCOPE® Series for holiday detection, pores and cracks can be discovered and counted in electrically non-conductive protective coatings, even if they are not visible to the eye.
Three instrument versions with different test voltage ranges are available:
- HV5: 0.8 – 5kV
- HV20: 4 – 20kV
- HV40: 8 – 40kV
Ensuring the long term protection of parts exposed to the extremely harsh conditions found in offshore environments requires intact anti-corrosion coatings. Any void, gap or pore in the coating can significantly shorten the lifetime of protected components. To control the quality of these crucial coatings, porosity testing is mandatory. There are numerous electrodes available with this unit, beyond those pictured below.
FISCHER’s POROSCOPE® stands out in that the power supply remains the same, no matter what head you are using. This feature makes it easier if your application changes, it is only necessary to change the electrode, not the power supply. The unit comes with a small carrying case, perfect for transporting from location to location.
